TATA rocks the world by introducing the Ultra Cheap Low cost Mini Car Tata Nano for Rs 1 lakh (2500 $). This was mentioned as People's Car by TATA. Few years back when Maruti Launched its first Maruti 800, It was huge hit in Indian automotive markets. This Nano is 625 cc , 5 seater, Hatch back car, with good ground clearance to suit to Indian roads.
TATA is targeting the people who were using still the 2-wheelers (Motorbikes). People who are spending Rs 60K on the Motorbikes will need to give a thought about the Nano.
This has really shaken the US, Germany and Japanese Auto Hubs. This is also having great potential in Chinese market. People are wondering about the price of the car because High end Car Infotainment System is around costing 2400$ (roughly).
I don't know what will happen in Bangalore if the Two Wheelers are replaced with Tata Nano, I think we need to walk to office. :-)
